We had a belated birthday party for Cam last week, and went all out! He fell in love with inflatable bouncy castle thingies this summer, so we got him one to go nuts in:

…and fortunately none of the little kids smashed faces during some heated rounds of Ring around the Rosy:

We made a cake featuring Cam’s favorite Sesame Street character…

…complemented by some appropriate decor:

The best party decoration of all, though, was courtesy of Barb from Party Bags to Go:

I’m not sure if you can tell from the picture, but this Elmo is four feet tall! Cameron loved pointing at Elmo and talking to him from a distance, but wasn’t real thrilled to see him up close…

…and really didn’t like it when mommy and daddy gave Elmo a hug, so we joined Cam in a group cry session:

We loved keeping that balloon Elmo on display for a few days…except for the time I had to get Cam a drink of water in the middle of the night. I thought a short person dressed in red was burglarizing our house.
